Iain Lansdell's Infrared Sauna Story
My own infrared sauna story began a few years ago in Portugal.
I'd gone there for a 2 week detox retreat and as part of the programme we were introduced to the far infrared sauna.
It was little moe than an introduction to the product but it encouraged me to want to know more. When returning to England I read, amongst other things a book, which we now sell, with the mind-focusing title of “Detoxify or Die”. What I learnt convinced me that for anyone wishing to remain healthy in the 21st century, the regular use of the infrared sauna is essential.
One of the passages from the book states:
"... environmental poisons overwhelm our ability to detoxify them, and they slowly accumulate. How high the total body burden or total load of chemicals gets, determines how fast we go downhill with disease".
Dr. Sherry Rogers, the author, goes on to state in the book that the use of a far infrared sauna is the only way which is proven with before and after data to remove the worst of the man made toxins” (i.e. the chemicals, which until recently the body has not previously had to deal with)
I started to immediately research further into infrared saunas and find out all about infrared saunas. Infrared saunas captured my enthusiasm and I flew around the world to find a manufacturer to make the best sauna for us.
Benefits Of Getting An Infrared Sauna
Infrared saunas are now in use all over the world.
Infrared sauna studies in Japan and Canada have shown the benefits of infrared saunas for people with illnesses varying from skin diseases such as eczema, psoriasis, through varying heart problems to asthma and bronchitis.
Infrared sauna benefits include:
-
infrared saunas typically have a 10-15 minute warm-up so you can have an infrared sauna on the spur of the moment. Plus it doesn't cost as much as warming up a non-infrared sauna
-
infrared sauna produces 2-3 times the sweat volume of a non-infrared sauna
-
infrared saunas energy is in the main, about 80%, used to heat the person. Unlike non-infrared saunas which use a lot of energy to heat the air
-
infrared saunas run at lower air temperatures than non-infrared saunas and are consequently more comfortable
-
infrared saunas require no plumbing in or specialist wiring so are easy to move from place to place, or to take with you if you move home
Dr. Toshio Yamazaki notes the many Therapeutic Benefits of Far Infrared Ray Therapy in her book. |
